By: Kruah Thompson

The national executive of the CDC Council of Patriots congratulates Attorney Dr. Samora P. Z. Wolokolie, on his nomination as Commissioner General of Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) by President George M. Weah.

In a press release, the CDC-CoP commends President Weah for his foresight in selecting Atty. Dr. Wolokolie, a technocrat and a patriotic Liberian with exceptional qualifications for the crucial position of Commissioner General.

“The movement appreciates the President’s commitment to placing individuals with proven dedication to national development in key roles”, the release says.

The CDC Council describes Wolokolie, whose nomination is being challenged in court by the in-coming Unity Party, as an erudite financial expert with a distinguished understanding of tax generation, a skill crucial for fostering national growth and development, highlighting his exemplary service records in both private and public financial sectors, while underscoring his commitment to the economic wellbeing of Liberia.

It appeals to the Liberian Senate to promptly confirm the nominee, as it has confidence in Dr. Wolokolie’s competence, capability, and reliability in delivering tangible revenue dividends that will benefit all Liberians.

The CDC-CoP believes that, with Senate confirmation, Dr. Wolokolie will serve with exceptional results and distinction in advancing Liberia’s financial landscape. Editing by Jonathan Browne
