Montserrado County Senator and stalwart of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Saah Joseph, warns Liberians precisely residents of Montserrado County not to cast their votes for former Vice President and fellow kinsman Joseph Nyumah Boakai in the October 10th Presidential and General Elections.

Both Sen. Joseph and the UP Presidential Candidate Boakai hail from Lofa County, Northern Liberia, but are politically divided.

Speaking to supporters of the CDC during start of campaign activities in and around Montserrado County, Sen. Saah Joseph cautions citizens against voting for Amb. Joseph Boakai for the Liberian Presidency and instead vote for President George Weah, whom he describes as the best choice to lead Liberia to a prosperous future so that collectively, they will develop Montserrado County.

“Don’t Vote for Joseph Boakai; vote for Amb. George Manneh Weah. I’m from Lofa County and I’m a kissi man, I’m saying to you don’t vote Joseph Boakai, Vote Amb. George Manneh Weah, because he has had more impact in my life, and made me to be what I’m today. Today it is Saah Joseph; tomorrow, it could be you”, he says.

Senator Joseph also cautions the people of Montserrado against political lies, while rallying them to give President Weah another opportunity in a resounding one-round victory to allow him to continue with more developments.

He showers praises on the CDC Standard Bearer and commends him for his many developmental initiatives carried out in Montserrado County that have impacted his own life as a senator.

According to him, President Weah will remain unbeatable by any other candidate due to his numerous achievements in a short while, while urging partisans of the CDC to unite and move the country forward.

Incumbent President Weah, in response, promises more developments if they remain with his leadership and cautions them against voting politicians, who have failed them over the years, while bragging that in a short while under his leadership as President, Liberia has achieved more and will continue to achieve if he is re-elected.

The CDC Standard Bearer describes himself as a developmental President, admonishing young people that they are the future of Liberia, emphasizing that this is their time and they shouldn’t let it slip away by rhetoric from failed politicians.

For his part, CDC Campaign General, Lenn Eugene Nagbe, rallied the people of Montserrado to make sure President Weah, is reelected in October, noting that CDC has not come to campaign because they have been campaigning since 2017. But they have come to spread the message of development they have been doing and what they intend to do for the country. Editing by Jonathan Browne
