Indonesian Title Heats Up Liberian Stars

Three Liberian football stars will be action in their club line-ups as strong contenders for the Indonesian Super Liga championship this season.

The title race will see Zah Krangar’s club, Persipura Jayapura FC playing away to Song Lam Nghe An FC today. The Club is topping the table with 48 points from 22 matches- eight points ahead of 2nd place PS Semen Padang FC.

The club of another Liberian forward, Edward Junior Wilson, who now has 18 goals so far from 24 matches, PS Semen Padang FC will wait until next week Thursday to test boots against Oliver Makor’s Persija Jakarta FC.

PS Semen Padang FC is 2nd on the Super Liga table with 42 points from 24 matches. ‘Machine man’ Oliver Makor will join   Persija    Pusat Jakarta FC in ensuring victory against x Sriwijaya FC on Sunday.

The encounter will be Makor club’s 23 fixture of the season. Persija Pusat Jakarta FC is 3rd on the Super Liga table with 40 points from 22 matches, while Oliver is holding five goals from 20 matches.

Meanwhile, two Liberians- forward Eddie Foday Boakia of     Persiwa Wamena FC and midfielder Eric Weeks in the Super Liga managed to cap 15 games scoring six goals. Persiwa Wamena FC is 9th on the league table with 32 points from 23 games. Boakai has played in 23 matches landing nine goals.

In the Indonesian 1st division, only one Liberian is in the promotional playoffs, Abel Quaich of Persidafon Dafonsoro FC will meet Mitra Kukar Kartanegara FC in a 3rd place game to determine who finish 3rd from the 1st division to obtain a Super Liga Slot for next season.
