LBF League Well On Course

Ducor Magic has grabbed their first win in the LBF 2010 National Championship chase at the expense of Supreme Sisters. Ducor Magic, a new female team featuring in the Liberia Basketball Federation league, last Friday evening sank Supreme Sisters 3721 points in a highly entertaining encounter.

Speaking to the New Dawn sports shortly after his side’s first win, the Head Coach of Ducor Magic, Howard Sieh, said he was very happy over the performance of his girls, saying that the victory did not come as a surprise, but something he anticipated due to the team’s preparations for the competition.

The President of the team, Amos Brosius congratulated the girls for their splendid performance, promising to support them to the end. He then urged the government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the Liberia National Olympic Committee to craft a national sports policy to further enhance sporting activities in Liberia.

Meanwhile, the Liberia Basketball Federation 2010 Championship league continued last weekend with several exciting matches. On Friday, St Paul Crushers narrowly defeated Harbel Pointers 5249 points in game one, while in game two Supreme Sisters went down to Ducor Magic 2137 points. LPRC-Oilers play Flames.
