Lonestar-MTN Urges Liberians to Become Life Savers

Lonestar Cell MTN has urged Liberians to get involved in life-saving activities at hospitals and clinics in the country by donating blood to the needy. The company said it strongly believes blood donation is another means of saving lives.

He added that Liberians should be proud giving blood to their fellow countrymen as well as support programs of the government aimed improving standard of life of the general population.

Speaking to reporters Thursday to mark the observance of World Blood Donor Day, the Chief of Corporate Communication of Lonestar Cell MTN Dr. Laurence Bropleh, said it is good that Liberians care for one another.

He said as part of activities for this year’s commemoration, the company is proud to be a sponsor of World Blood Donor Day. The day is celebrated each year June 14 as a way of sensitizing the public on the importance of blood donation. Bropleh said Lonestar Cell’s aim is that all hospitals, clinics and health centers across the country should have enough supplies of blood to save patients in need.

He noted that Lonestar Cell MTN new CEO believes in life saving, adding, he is very happy with the way the premier GSM company is encouraging subscribers and all Liberians to become a blood donor.

He however pleaded, “Please do not sell blood my fellow Liberians; all Lonestar Cell asks of you is to please save life by giving your brothers and sisters blood in our various hospitals.”
