Barely 24 hours after the National Elections Commission (NEC) announced a runoff of the 2023 Presidential Elections between the UP and the CDC, the Liberian Peopleโs Party (LPP) endorsed the presidential bid of the Unity Party (UP).
The LPP participated in the first round of the 2023 presidential election fielding renowned Liberian Lawyer Cllr. Tiawon S. Gongloe and Dr. Emmanuel Urey Yakpawolo as Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates respectively.
The UP Alliance in a press statement issued Wednesday, October 25, extended warm appreciation to Cllr. Tiawon S. Gongloe, Dr. Emmanuel Yakpawolo, the National Chairman and the entire leadership of the LPP and all its members for the confidence reposed in Amb. Joseph N. Boakaiโs ability and capacity to lead Liberia. The UP Alliance also takes cognizance of the policy recommendations made by the LPP for the development of Liberia and will work along with the LPP to ensure that Liberia becomes a better country for all.
