It has been disclosed in Monrovia that Fans and supporters of the Mighty Barrolle Sports Association will, in the next months, go the polls to elect new officers.
Barrolle President Karnga (L) and others
The President of the club, Garmundeh Karnga made the disclosure when he spoke to reporters last Sunday in a very jubilant mood shortly after the Rollers put up a magnificent 61-58 win over rivals LPRC-Oilers in an entertaining basketball show-down at the Sports Commission .
Though he did not state exactly the date of the elections, but noted that the time has come for Mighty Barrolle, especially the basketball team, to get back on course as compared to the past. According to him, board members of the club had gone to witness the game so as to acquaint themselves with problems being faced by the club.
Karnga said frantic efforts were underway in order to resolve whatever differences club officials may have had so that togetherness in the club can prevail for the supremacy Mighty Barrolle once had.
Garmondeh Karnga was flanked by Lemuel Sherman and two other Barrolle board members, as they witnessed and analyzed the problems of their youthful Basketball team. LPRC-Oilers took the lead in the first two quarters of that match before Barrolle came back to level the score in the third quarter, and subsequently won the match in the fourth quarter.
Despite the fact that the name Mighty Barrolle is a house hold when it comes to Sports in Liberia, the past Basketball seasons have been very difficult for the team. But analysts say the presence of Barrolle’s top executives at the open air sports Commission last Sunday was the dawning of a new day for the reds.
