Saclepea gets modern surgical theater

The Assistant Minister for Curative Services at the Ministry of Health has disclosed plans to transform the newly dedicated surgical theater at the Saclepea Comprehensive Health Center to a full hospital in Nimba County.

Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony of the US$90,000 surgical theater in Saclepea, Nimba County, Dr. Catherine Cooper said the facility will help to reduce maternal mortality in the country.
She said it will also help to enhance government efforts in promoting and providing resilient health services to all citizens.

Dr. Cooper pledged the Ministry of Health’s commitment to improving the facility, which was constructed by Nimba County District#7 Representative WorleaSaywahDunah along with a US$68,000 mortality waiting home in Bahn District.

The administrator of the Saclepea Comprehensive Health Center Mr. Peter Wonokay has lauded the government for continual support to the people of Saclepea and surrounding towns in helping to address their health needs.

Also speaking, Nimba County Superintendent Fong Zuagele pledged the county’s support to helping improve the health facilities.  Superintendent Zuagele said the Saclepea Health Center receive funding from the county social development fund.
