Senatorial hopeful Johnny Kpehe paves Gbarnga streets

Nine months to elections in October Bong County senatorial hopeful Johnny Kpehe is rehabilitating streets in Gbarnga to give the central provincial city a facelift.

The rehabilitation is expected to cover all streets in Gbanga and beyond under the slogan, “Making Bong County Better.”

Speaking to reporters during ongoing work at Jorkpenmu community on the outskirt of Gbarnga, jubilating residents describe the initiative by the politician as a great relief for their community.

One resident Kekulah Saffiah, says for the past 80 years, there has been no paved road to his community, while Alfred Lablah, another resident buttressed by saying the intervention by Mr. Johnny Kpehe will impact their lives positively and reduce frequent accidents in the community.

He explains that prior to the current intervention, accident frequency was high, including transportation fares.

Mr. Saffiah adds that in the past, they engaged government, but there was no intervention until just in few days ago when the senatorial hopeful offered to rehabilitate roads in their various communities, something, he describes as unbelievable.

The residents extend gratitude to Mr. Kpehe, also said to be a businessman, for initiating such development activities in their communities.

Also speaking, Alfred Lablah and Daniel Kerkulah Yarpkawolo note that this is the first of its kind in Gbarnga for an individual to undertake such a huge development for them.

According to them, Johnny Kpehe has been involved in several developmental activities in various towns and villages in Bong County that is impacting their lives.

They refer to him as their god that has come to rescue them from continuous suffering and help improve their lives.
