Pregnant woman, others die in accident

The badly mutilated bodies of the deceased wrapped in plastic sheet, ready for burial A serious accident along Miller-Garr Blan town in district#2, Nimba County has left at least three persons dead, including a pregnant woman.

Report from the county says the crash occurred on Wednesday, 13 April. Eyewitnesses narrated to our Nimba correspondent a twin-cabin pick-up with license plate BP 102 enroute from Garr-Blan to Zuluyee collided head-on with a motorcycle while descending a hill.

The driver of the pick-up identified as Zangban Saye, allegedly lost control of his steering, and ran into the motorcycle, instantly killing the bike rider, his pregnant wife and mother, who just came from neighboring Guinea.

Road accident in Nimba seems to be on the increase. Recently a pick-up belonging to the Nimba County Health Team that was transporting Polio vaccine materials crashed between Sanniquellie and Karnplay, in the county, with the driver sustaining serious injuries.

Our correspondent in Nimba said the Toyota Land Cruiser jeep with license plate RL 3102 was enroute from Sanniquellie to Karnplay with Polio vaccine kits when the crash transpired.
