House inducts Bong Representative-elect Kolleh

The House of Representatives has inducted newly elected Bong county electoral district#2 Representative James N. Kolleh, following his Election on November 16, 2021.

House Speaker Bhofal Chambers administered the Oath of Office  to Rep. Kolleh on Tuesday, February 8, 2021.

Kolleh was certificated by the National Elections Commission on Friday, February 6, 2022.

He replaces now Senator Prince Moye, who won the Bong senatorial seat during the December 8, 2020, Special Senatorial Election.

The induction is in keeping with Rule 11.1 of the House’s Rules and Procedures.

Rule 11.1 of the House states: “Each member of the House of Representatives before taking his/her seat, shall take an oath or affirmation to uphold and defend the Constitution and the laws of the country as well as to faithfully discharge the duties and functions of the office as a member of the House of Representatives.”

Speaking after his induction into office, Rep. Kolleh lauded his constituents for the confidence reposed in him, and the Government of Liberia for funding the National Elections Commission to conduct free and fair elections across the country.
