Nuquay rehabilitates road in Margibi

Speaker J. Emmanuel Nuquay and Mr. Moses Darmo of the MOABEL Enterprise Inc have embarked on rehabilitating a 5.7 Kilometers road that leads from Chinese Farm to Barmelenekollie-ta or BKT and Sala town in Cinta District #5, Margibi County.

Since the road was initially constructed in 1964, it has never been rehabilitated despite serving more than 4000 residents from approximately 30 towns and villages. Speaker Nuquay in remark in Sala town on Friday, March 25, 2017 urged citizens to appreciate the rehabilitation effort and work with Mr. Darmo, who is helping immensely to make the road project a success.

According to him, he only informed Mr. Darmo about the road and the MOABEL boss told him to provide fuel and feeding for the workforce.  Speaker Nuquay added that Mr. Darmo made available his road equipment, which made it less expensive, though he (Nuquay) was spending more than US$10,000 on the rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Moses Darmo is Chief Executive Officer or CEO of a road construction firm in Liberia known as MOABEL.  Citizens of the area complained of high transportation cost and their goods are being damaged on a daily basis due to the road condition.

They also lamented that they have over the years found it very difficult to take sick persons to hospital, but lauded Speaker Nuquay and Mr. Darmo for the rehabilitation that has brought relief to them.
