Peace hut turns commercial sex grounds

A government peace hut in Ganta City, Nimba County that is often used by the city council, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and for worship purpose, has turned commercial sex ground, drawing scores of customers predominantly youth.


The NewDawn Nimba Correspondent says at night time street girls and boys in Ganta compete to become the first to take commercial sex worker into the hut. A visit by this paper into the facility discovered over 50 used condoms scattered on the floor and around the hut.

Prostitution is on the increase in the commercial city that has shares border with neighboring Guinea.Most of the clients are school-age girls, including girls from other counties, who are usually seen night hours standing in pairs at street corners, looking up for customers.Some of them charge their male customers US$10 to US$20.
