Regional Approach for Nat’l Leadership

ProTemp Jallah NDThe Senate Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate says it is time for the Central-northern region of Liberia to produce a President.

Senator Armah Zolu Jallah – a son of veteran Paramount Chief and Statesman Chief Jallah Lone, told reporters in Gbarnga last weekend that the time was now ripe for a shift in the current trend of leadership in Liberia.

According to him, for more than a hundred and sixty-five years, the people of Liberia continue to receive the same results and disappointment by administrations claiming to serve the interest of the ordinary Liberian people.

He said the new shift would include nationalism and patriotism, wherein citizens would feel the country is theirs and would work toward its growth and development.

President Pro Tempore Jallah noted that now was the time for existing bad school system, bad roads and deplorable health system, to be abolished and a new page of improvement turned.

He claimed that the Executive Branch of government was the ‘right place’ to make a change. He made the remarks during a recent visit to Bong County.

Political consultations are ongoing in Bong, Lofa, Nimba and Gbarpolu Counties on a regional approach by these counties to a single Presidential Candidate. By Papa Morris from Bong County-Edited George Barpeen
